The features of the city

The world’s largest city built on permafrost. It is the capital of the Republic of Sakha. The region is rich in natural resources: gold, diamonds, oil, gas, as well as many precious stones and minerals are mined here. However, the generosity of nature alone does not explain the fabulous wealth of the city. This is a major cultural regional center, the originality of which determines the multinational composition of its population. Yakutsk is a real snow fairy tale. In winter, there are cracking arctic frosts, in summer it can be quite hot. So there is every reason to call Yakutsk one of the most extraordinary cities on the planet.
